For this the sixth Mojo of Midtown Awards, MidtownMemphis.Org (Midtown Memphis Development Corporation) has announced the recipients of their 2020 Mojo of Midtown Awards, named for their significant contributions to the growth and vibrancy of Midtown.

The honorees this year reflect a perseverance and passion for connecting Midtowners and Memphians and for building a vibrant, diverse and creative Midtown. They are:
The Memphis College of Art for helping generations of dreamers to become artists. Their art, and it’s everywhere we look, is the college’s enduring legacy.
Kathy and Kelly Fish for giving over their home and back yard for Cocktails For A Cause, raising money and awareness for too many causes to name.
Jerry Feinstone of Boscos, for brewing up Tennessee’s first brewpub and for serving it up since 1992 in Overton Square.
Emily Trenholm, for twenty years of vision with the CD Council and BLDG Memphis, growing community development corporations while helping to create thriving, sustainable neighborhoods.
LaVogue Salon, owned and operated by Adrienne Roddy. For thirty years of helping her clients look and feel their best. And for being a rock through Midtown’s ups and downs.
The Memphis Zoo for bringing in fresh leadership with the willingness to build a new and inclusive future. And for bringing back the roar to a Midtown landmark.
Over 30 Midtown individuals, businesses and organizations have been recipients since the first awards were handed out in 2015. Recipients receive a customized, hand-crafted and framed award made by Karen Capps:

MidtownMemphis.Org was established in 2007 as the Midtown Memphis Development Corporation, a non-profit serving as Midtown Memphis’ advocate, a voice for the neighborhoods and businesses of Midtown, and for fostering public awareness of Midtown’s assets and amenities. This is the sixth year of the Mojo awards. Recipients will be honored at the Mojo of Midtown Awards Bash on April 1 at 6 p.m. at Circuit Playhouse, 51 S.
