By Marilyn Koester

A Memphis tradition since 1950, the Memphis College of Art’s 69th and Final Annual Holiday Bazaar will take place November 22-23, 2019 at Rust Hall within Overton Park. The Bazaar will kick off on Friday, Nov. 22 with a ticketed Preview and Purchase Party from 5–10 p.m., and then have an Open Market with free admission on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

This year’s Holiday Bazaar will feature many of the items that made the Bazaar an iconic Memphis institution for the past 69 years. Offerings include an eclectic, curated collection of handmade jewelry, textiles, pottery and ceramics, watercolor, acrylic and oil paintings, custom prints, photography, mixed media pieces, ornaments, metalwork, woodwork, and more, spanning a range of price points. Veteran artists like Dolph Smith, Susan Maakestad, and Carl E. Moore will have works alongside new and emerging local artists. Come and explore this diverse range of works from over 120 artists and makers to discover your new favorites and support local arts.

(Also on sale will be the completed MCA Midtown 2020 Visions Map as produced by StoryBoard and created by 5 select MCA artists.)

Tickets for the Preview and Purchase Party, which allow attendees to shop the Bazaar before it opens to the general public and get first dibs on artwork and gifts, are $50 per person. Refreshments and hors-d’oeuvres served. Tickets are available for purchase online here at mca.edu. On Saturday, the Bazaar opens to the public and admission is free.

Although the last, this will be the biggest and best Holiday Bazaar yet – don’t miss it!
